I'd like to see the wheels on too, although you may have to lower the car a bit to go with the bigger wheels.

22.7.10 - Look what arrived today!

Alpina back box with a decat centre section, ebay purchase! Looking forward to getting it on, will hopefully give a wee performance gain and not be too loud. The tips are slightly bigger than standard and angled slightly like an OEM M3 exhaust. The only down side to winning this is that I have to wait til next month to afford tyres for the 18s :?

Came home from work and decided to have a wee look at the car. The bonnet catches are rusted and look cr4p so painted them with Hammerite:

Looks rubbish I think, are those bits easy to get out? might just remove and wire brush them!

Gave the engine a quick clean

Image

I noticed when I got the car that the rear spoiler bolts are missing the 2 rearmost bolts

Image

To secure the spoiler better, I have put some glue on as a temporary fix but this, along with a wee bit of rust starting means that I am looking for a new bootlid.

One the plus side, here are a couple of pics of the GT corners I fitted recently, car isn't spotless but some pic whoring is required....

Shopping arrived today!

Image

Better than you ever get at Tesco, but not as filling. Grassick called to let me know that my Z3M lever, associated fittings, exhaust hangers, gaskets and fittings, along with various underbonnet fixings had arrived. So, this weekend could be busy!

The bill for these bits and bobs came to £115, wwhich includes a discount    However, replacing parts as I go along was always the plan, it'll be worth it I hope.

31.7.10 - Short Shift Kit and Exhaust fitted

Been busy over the last couple of days, first of all fitted a Z3M shift lever. Before

After

It makes such a difference, only about an inch shorter up top but the throw is reduced by quite a lot. Also feels a lot tighter and fresher, probably to do with the new bearing and being greased up.

Also fitted my decat and Alpina back box, what a noise! Sounds amazing, I'm really pleased. At motorway speeds it is almost the same as stock but when you rev it the sound is great  Also should have freed up some bhp I hope!
