chip set was way to tiny for soldering iron...on the production line the borads were dip solderd along the bottom at like 4-500 degrees...the heat gun is fine aslong as you keep it around that mark and keep it moving all the time around the edges of the chips (which are steel braded anyway)...pluss ...

ah ok....in regards to your issues with it not lokking low enough.....you need to look at the whole picture try to imagine it with the black wheels and new front bumper..the color contrast will blend 'wheel and tyre' together making the area look smaller..(lower) and the over hang on what ever spltt...

@ shane....(the member 'carl hobbs') is putting his M3 engine and running gear in his 325 coupe? ...so he will have the left over engine,gearbox, etc going begging?...fit nicely in the E30 ...drop him a pm???

one way to check its an LSD is get its ar$e off the ground and spin the rear wheels if they turn the same direction its most likely and LSD, if they counter rotate then its ya standard diff!...also LSDs normaly have a tag or stamp with its ratio printed on it also if it is indeed an LSD it could be ...

they use alcantara on the M3 CSLs steering wheels for good grip! so i would think its quite tough!

i sufferd the yellow light of death...basicly over the years the heat sink compound drys out and the unit gets hot and drys the solder joints out...causing the connections to be lost etc..and it stops working?...the efficiency of the cooling fan stops working on it due to it basicly all drying out d...
